In September of 2002, the Hiphopdirectory.com network launched Hiphopconcerts.com,
the first and only site of it's kind specializing in providing consumers
with the latest news on hip-hop tours, concerts, performances and
other similar functions geared towards the hip-hop audience.
Then in the second quarter of 2003 we were proud to announce the
debut of Rapdirectory.com, a site similar to Hiphopdirectory.com
but in the likes of being a major search engine similar to Google
or Yahoo. The integration of Rapdirectory.com allowed our visitors
and members to conduct a customized search through a search engine
based interface. Hophopdirectory.com has now decided to incorporate
Rapdirectory.com's search interface on various pages of the site
to allow extended search capabilities for all our visitors.
The launch of Rapdirectory.com was very important not only as a
way to undisputedly affirm our position in the hip-hop and rap community,
but also as a way to provide our listed sites and our members with
an alternative form of visibility and resource distribution.
In the coming years, Hiphopdirectory.com will be launch several
other sites which will all become a part of the overall Hiphopdirectory.com
community. These "in progress" sites will help in stimulating
growth; help in the distribution of information; allow sites that
are linked in the database to enhance their presence on the web
and at the same time help these sites stand for themselves in generating
